Stephanie, 43, graduated from the University of Florida with a B.F.A. degree in Art and B.A. degree in Art Education. In 1998 she received her Ph.D. from Florida State University in English with a specialty in Creative Writing. She taught English in Palo Alto, California and is currently writing a novel. Her husband, Adam Johnson, Ph.D. teaches Creative Writing at Sanford University. His third novel was recently reviewed by The New York Times and is set to be on the short list for Book of the Year.

Stephanie and Adam are the proud parents of James Geronimo, born September 4, 2002, and Jupiter Gayle (in picture above), who was born on May 18th, 2004 and Justice Everlasting, born February 27, 2006.
