Jennifer, 41, is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia where she received a degree in Economics and was the recipient of a four year scholarship given through Marshall University by General Chuck Yeager. She was employed by the Office of the Governor in Denver Colorado where she worked as an Economist from 1993 to 1996. She received her MBA from the Wharton School of Business and Finance and an M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. She currently is the Vice President- Finance and Administration of the Front Range Community College. This is the largest Community College in the State of Colorado.

Her husband Henry Sobanet served as the Director of Policy and Budget for Colorado Governor Bill Owen. He currently serves as CEO of Summit Consulting and does policy, budget and econometric analysis. Jennifer and Henry reside in Denver, Colorado.
